How the Total Swim 2000 app works

Personalized training plans, video analysis and progress tracking — for individual swimmers and for coaches running their own groups. This is the Premium Plan guide; if you're looking for the cheaper, fully automatic option, see the Automatic Plan guide.

What is TotalSwim2000

TotalSwim2000 (app.totalswim2000.com) is the training platform behind Total Swim 2000, alongside the in-person classes.

It works for two kinds of accounts:

What sets it apart from a generic app: every plan is reviewed and adjusted by Francisco Páez, the coach who founded Total Swim 2000 — not an algorithm working alone. The app builds a starting point from each swimmer's goal and level, but the final call is always human.

Getting started as an individual swimmer

  1. Go to app.totalswim2000.com from your phone or computer.
  2. Enter your email. You'll get a link in your inbox — no password needed.
  3. The first time you log in, the app asks a short questionnaire: your name, your goal (technique, distance, speed, competition, master, etc.), your level, the pool you train in, your available days and how much time you have per session.
  4. Based on that, the app builds your first plan and picks your tier (based on how many days a week you train).

From there you're registered: next time you go to the same address with the same email, the app recognizes you and takes you straight to your dashboard.

Two fields worth getting right

Your 100m freestyle time: the app uses it to calculate the exact pace of every set in your plan — how long each rep should take and how often you leave. If the time you enter isn't really yours, your send-off intervals will come out poorly calibrated. If you don't know it yet, you can leave it blank and fill it in once you've timed yourself.

If you're training for a competition: the app asks how many weeks you want your training cycle to run. Pick a realistic length — the plan ramps intensity up and down around that date. When the cycle ends, the app will ask you to swim a hard 100 freestyle in a regular practice (it doesn't need to be a real race) and report your time, so it can adjust your next cycle to your current pace.

What you'll find in the app

How to read your plan

Every exercise has a button next to its name:

Pace sets also carry a color tag for their intensity (easy aerobic, threshold, maximum effort), and at the end of each day you see a summary of how many meters you swam in each zone.

How the plan and video analysis work

Your plan is generated automatically based on your goal, level and available time, and it changes on its own as you move through the training cycle (for example, ramping up during higher-load weeks and easing off during recovery weeks). But Francisco reviews it and can adjust it by hand whenever needed — it's never left purely to the system.

Video analysis runs on cycles, based on your plan's frequency (say, once a month or every two weeks). When it's your turn, the Video section opens up for you to upload a clip; when it's not your turn yet, it shows the date it'll open again. Once uploaded, Francisco reviews it and the diagnosis appears under Diagnosis, with what you're doing well and what to fix — often pointing to specific Library exercises to work on it.

For coaches

If you coach your own team (whether inside or outside Total Swim 2000), you can use the app to build your groups' training plans.

How to sign up:

  1. Go to app.totalswim2000.com and choose the coach option on the first screen.
  2. Enter your name, the pool you train in, the equipment you use, and how long your class runs.
  3. Add your swimmers one by one: name, age, level, 100m freestyle time, and their individual goal (technique, distance, speed or competition). Each swimmer's 100m time is what sets the pace of their sets — it's worth asking for an accurate one.
  4. The app automatically groups your swimmers by that goal (up to 4 groups) and shows you the tier and price based on your days per week and number of groups.

How it works after that:

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be an in-person Total Swim 2000 student to use the app?

No. The app works for any swimmer or coach, whether or not you train in person at PowerClub Panamá Pacífico.

Can I change my goal later?

Yes, message Francisco and your goal gets adjusted, updating your plan accordingly.

What happens when my training cycle (macrocycle) ends?

Your plan shows a prompt asking you to swim a hard 100 freestyle in practice. With that new time, it automatically adjusts the pace of your next cycle.

What if I miss my video upload window?

No problem — you can upload it whenever you're ready, you just won't be able to upload a new one until your plan's cadence has passed since your last one.

Do I need to install anything?

No, it's a website — it works from your phone's or computer's browser, nothing to download. You can "add to home screen" on your phone so it opens like an app.

How do I log in if I lost the email link?

Go back to app.totalswim2000.com and enter the same email — you'll get a new link.

Does it cost anything?

Yes, depending on the tier you choose (days per week, and for coaches also the number of groups). For current pricing, message us on WhatsApp.
